If you want to research penny stocks where do you turn? Where are the best places to find information on penny stocks? Simply put you would research penny stocks in the same way that you would search other stocks. We live in the day of information overload so often it can be confusing as to where we should turn for our information.
If you are looking for financial data on penny stocks then one of the first places that you will want to go is either Yahoo! Finance or Google Finance. Both of these sites have generally the same information. You can find a chart of the stock you are looking for information on, a profile of the company, all of the current financial numbers such as PE ratio, debt to equity ratio, share float, profit margin, etc. You will also be able to see what the average analyst thinks about the stock if there are analysts that follow the company. You will also be able to find the balance sheet and income statement that the company last issued. So if you are well versed at reading the financial statements of companies you will find every thing that you need at these to sites to research penny stocks. Finding research reports is a little different. You can find penny stock research reports on Yahoo! But you will have to pay for them. If you have a brokerage account (which I am sure you do if you are trading penny stocks) then you probably have access to reports for free. My brokerage company makes several available for free. This is helpful if you would like someone else’s take on the prospects of the company.
Another thing that I find helpful is to find articles on penny stocks. One of the places that I like to look is Seeking Alpha. Often I can find a number of good articles on the penny stocks that I am researching. If you are attempting to research hot stocks then you should be able to find a number of articles about them on the site.
You can also go website of the individual company when you are trying to research penny stocks. Investor relation areas can be found on the website of just about every publicly traded company. You should be able to find the last few quarterly reports as well as investor presentations that you have given recently.
You can also go to penny stock forums to look for some data on penny stocks. You have to be careful here, however. You can usually determine those that are interested in giving good information but much of what takes place on penny stock forums is a waste of your time. I often wonder where people find the time to sit around and type in such drivel on their computers.
So if you want to research penny stocks you will find a number of places that you can go to on the internet to get your stock research information for free.
